Charlotte, NC — April 9, 2023, 15 people were injured in a collision between a CATS bus and a truck early Easter morning in Charlotte.
Sources report a suspected drunk driver allegedly ran a red light and collided with a Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) bus. 15 occupants in the CATS bus were transported to a local hospital with reportedly minor injuries. The alleged drunk driver was taken into custody, but there are no reports if he suffered any injuries.
Officials have not released any further details regarding this crash and may be withholding the victim’s names until the next of kin is notified.
