Oconto, NE — October 4, 2024, Injuries are unknown following an 18-wheeler accident on at around 1:00 P.M. on Highway 40.
An investigation is underway into an accident that involved two 18-wheelers on October 4 in Oconto, Nebraska near highway 40 and highway 21. Details are limited at this time as to what precisely caused the accident, but we do know that one of the 18-wheelers was fuel tanker that began leaking fuel right after the collision.
We do not know the extent, if any, of injuries sustained by the occupants of the 18-wheelers, but it appears that the jaws of life were used by first responders to extricate at least one individual before transporting the occupants to an area hospital.
There also has not been any statement as to whether any party will be charged or issued a citation.
