Twin Falls, ID — October 27, 2024, Multiple people were injured following an 18-wheeler accident at around 1:58 P.M. on Interstate 84.
Authorities are investigating an accident involving an 18-wheeler and two other vehicles that resulted in multiple injuries. According to statements from officials, the tractor trailer experienced a tire blow out which caused it to strike a concrete barrier, before then colliding with two other vehicles.
After striking the two vehicles, a Chevrolet Equinox and Chevrolet Tahoe, the 18-wheeler rolled onto its side and caught fire. First responders arrived on the scene and extinguished the blaze, and discovered its driver had exited the vehicle safely.
While we do not know the exact number of injured persons, authorities state that multiple occupants from the Tahoe were transported to the hospital, along with the semi driver. No one from the equinox required transport, and at this time the accident is still under investigation. There has been no mention of any citations or charges being filed at this time.
