Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Generally speaking, single-vehicle wrecks can be uniquely challenging because they're not often seen as a high priority. Authorities may not take the time or dedicate proper resources for officers to do their jobs properly. As a result, important details can slip through the cracks. Was there a vehicle defect? Road hazards? Tire issues? A medical condition? A driver over-served by a bar? Improper signage or a lack of lighting? If an investigation doesn't include these possible factors, they could be overlooking something important. It remains to be seen if steps were taken to get clear answers here.
