Aaron Alcala Hernandez Killed in Pedestrian Car Accident on East Riverside Dr. in Austin, TX
UPDATE (April 16, 2024): The man who lost his life as a result of this accident has been identified as 37-year-old Aaron Alcala Hernandez.
Austin, TX — April 12, 2024, one person was killed following a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 2:30 a.m. along East Riverside Drive.
According to authorities, the accident occurred in the vicinity of the East Riverside Drive and South Lakeshore Boulevard intersection.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle. Life-saving measures were attempted upon the arrival of emergency personnel. However, they were ultimately unsuccessful, as the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been clear and dry. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
