UPDATE (March 5, 2024): Recent reports have been released which clarify what happened leading up to this accident. According to these reports, 19-year-old Devin Ulises Martinez and 32-year-old Abed-Isaac Pierre were traveling in a northbound Lexus on U.S. 75 in the vicinity south of West Belt Line Road when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Lexus veered left, crossing over all northbound lanes of the highway before colliding with the concrete barrier on the west side of the roadway. The Lexus reportedly became disabled facing south between the left-two inside lanes of the lanes of the freeway and Pierre reportedly exited the vehicle.
A head-on collision followed between the Lexus and a northbound Honda Accord occupied by 25-year-old Cristina Muratalla. The collision caused the Lexus to spin, striking Pierre. Both Muratalla and Martinez incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. They were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Pierre suffered reportedly fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
Richardson, TX — February 12, 2024, Abed-Isaac Pierre was killed and two others were injured in a car accident at approximately 1:15 a.m. along U.S. 75.
According to authorities, 32-year-old Abed-Isaac Pierre and one other person were traveling in a northbound Lexus on U.S. Highway 75 in the vicinity of Belt Line Road when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Lexus collided with the concrete barrier dividing the north and southbound lanes of the highway. Both Pierre and the driver of the Lexus allegedly exited the vehicle before, shortly afterward, a Honda struck the disabled Lexus. This collision caused the Lexus to strike Pierre, who incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result; he was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Lexus and the driver of the Honda sustained injuries of apparently unknown severity and were transported to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment.
