Adam Cisneros Injured in Truck Accident on Hwy. 86 in Parmer County, TX
Parmer County, TX — April 17, 2023, Adam Cisneros was injured in a collision with a semi-truck around 3:31 a.m. on Hwy. 86 in Parmer County.
Officials report this accident occurred on the two-lane road, TX-86, in between F.M. 1172 and the dirt road C.R. 28; southeast of Friona, TX.
According to authorities, Mr. Cisneros's Chevy Silverado was disabled in the eastbound lane of Hwy. 86 with its nose facing westbound due to damage to the pickup truck sustained in a previous incident. An eastbound Volvo tractor-trailer then purportedly attempted to swerve into the westbound lane of traffic in an evasive maneuver but still collided with the victim's Silverado.
Authorities report the collision forced the semi-truck to jack-knife and block both traffic lanes of Hwy. 86. Additionally, this collision seems to have sent the Silverado spinning clockwise, off the south side of the highway, and into a roadside ditch.
Officials report Mr. Cisneros suffered serious injuries and the truck driver was uninjured.
Reports also suggest both vehicles were shortly involved in a second accident, and authorities have not reported if any one was transported to a hospital.
