UPDATE (September 28, 2023): Recent information has identified the man killed in the accident as 42-year-old Adam Hobach. The truck driver continues to face pending charges as investigations are ongoing.
Racine County, WI — September 24, 2023, a man was killed and a child was injured following an Amazon truck accident along Highway K.
Preliminary investigations into the crash include allegations of impaired driving and pending homicide charges. Authorities say the crash occurred at the intersection of Highway K and the I-41 frontage road in the Raymond area.

According to current statements, a father and his 12-year-old daughter were on a motorcycle traveling along the roadway. Ahead, it appears an Amazon delivery truck allegedly failed to yield, resulting in the motorcycle and the Amazon truck colliding.
Due to the collision, the man riding the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries. The 12-year-old on the bike reportedly sustained serious injuries. There were no other reported injuries.
Authorities at this time allege that the Amazon driver, reportedly an employee of a third-party company, was impaired at the time of the crash. There appear to be pending charges for homicide by vehicle, use of controlled substance, and operating with restricted controlled substance in blood causing injury. The incident remains under investigation.
