Denton County, TX — February 23, 2024, Aisha Tariq and one other person were injured in a car accident just after 11:00 a.m. along Stonebrook Parkway.
According to authorities, an Infiniti was traveling northbound on Paint Horse Trail at the Stonebrook Parkway intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Infiniti entered the intersection at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to Stonebrook Parkway traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front end of the Infiniti and the front left side of a westbound Audi occupied by 51-year-old Aisha Tariq. The collision pushed the Audi into a boulder, reportedly causing the vehicle to overturn and roll about two times before coming to a stop on its driver side.
Tariq was apparently entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extracted upon the arrival of emergency personnel. She incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash, as did the sole occupant of the Infiniti. Both victims were transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services for treatment.
