Woman, Teen, Child Injured in Alleged Drunk Driver Accident on Belknap Street in Haltom City, TX
Haltom City, TX — April 13, 2023, a woman, a teenager, and a child were injured after an alleged drunk driver accident at around 10:05 p.m. on Belknap Street.
Investigators said that the crash took place in the area of the Belknap Street and Oakwood Street intersection.

Officials said that a 42-year-old woman, a 17-year-old, and a 2-year-old were in a Chrysler 300C traveling eastbound along Belknap. At Oakwood, it appears that a BMW somehow failed to reduce its speed, according to police. This caused it to crash into the back of the Chrysler.
From the Chrysler, the woman and the young child were both said to have incapacitating injuries. The teenager's injuries were described as non-incapacitating. No other injuries were reported. In their initial statements, authorities allege that the driver of the BMW was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. It's unclear at this time if authorities ever filed charges relating to the crash.
