Two Injured in Alleged DWI Accident on NW Loop 410 in San Antonio, TX
San Antonio, TX — March 26, 2023, two people were seriously injured due to an accident allegedly involving intoxicated driving on NW Loop 410.
Investigators were called to the scene at around 2:20 a.m. to the southbound lanes of the loop at the Ingram Road exit. According to officials, a 2015 Chevy Camaro somehow hit the back of a 2017 Jaguar, causing the Jaguar to lose control and end up across two lanes of traffic. There, a ToyotaRav4 crashed into the Jaguar. The Camaro came to a stop along the shoulder.

Due to the collision, a 29-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man riding in the Jaguar both had serious injuries. Police say they suspect two of the drivers involved were intoxicated, but further details cannot be confirmed at this time.

These are obviously serious claims from the authorities, though I would need to see more evidence to take those claims as fact. That said, it's a sadly common scenario in Texas cities that people get behind the wheel of a vehicle drunk and cause harm to themselves and others. That's why it's important to understand what can result from these serious accidents—drivers going to jail, people being killed or injured, bars and other businesses being liable or facing license suspensions for over-serving someone, etc. Police on their own can't fight the battle against intoxicated driving on their own. So if it turns out these folks were also injured due to something like that, there likely will have to be additional steps to set things right.
