Alvin Rajan Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Garland, TX
Garland, TX — March 16, 2024, Alvin Rajan was fatally injured due to a motorcycle accident at around 2:45 a.m. on Interstate 30.
Initial details about the crash released by authorities said that it happened off westbound lanes of the interstate near Rosehill Road.

Authorities said that 31-year-old Alvin Rajan was on a Kawasaki motorcycle traveling westbound on I-30. For reasons unconfirmed right now, Rajan's motorcycle left the roadway at the Exit 60A ramp, crashing with the exit sign. As a result, Rajan sustained injuries that ultimately proved fatal. The cause of the crash remains unclear at this time.
I recall there was another fatal wreck on westbound I-30 near this exact location that happened just a few days apart from this crash. That could just be coincidence, but it might be a good idea to have investigators examine this stretch of road for potential problems.
I'm certainly not suggesting issues with the roadway caused this crash. But it's not the sort of possibility that's within the scope of a typical police accident reconstruction. Even if it's just to be abundantly cautious and rule out something unusual, families deserve to know they're getting the whole story. I think everyone would agree that's preferable to families being left in the dark simply because investigators felt something was too unlikely to be worth their time.
