Amanda Chavez, Three Children Injured in Alleged Drunk Driving Accident on Nicholas Avenue in Bay City, TX
Bay City, TX — May 21, 2023, Amanda Chavez and three children were injured by an alleged drunk driver around 8:06 p.m. on Nicholas Ave. in Bay City.
According to authorities, the victims were southbound in a Toyota Camry when a northbound Jeep Compass allegedly attempted to pass a vehicle, by entering into the southbound lanes, and collided with the Camry head-on.
Officials report Ms. Chavez and a 13-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries, a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old suffered minor injuries, and the reportedly drunk driver suffered minor injuries. All of the victims were reportedly taken to a hospital.
