Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Before anyone jumps the gun and says, "Well, that's that," this revelation raises an important question. Did someone else play a role in this crash? Now, I know you may be thinking "Hey, Michael, this is a single-vehicle crash, how can anyone else be involved?" Allow me to explain.
I had this case not long ago which involved a man who drank at a bar, then tried to walk home while intoxicated. Unfortunately, the man didn't get very far before stumbling off the walkway and down an embankment, causing him to suffer a severe brain injury. Everyone in the public who read about that accident quickly jumped to ridicule the man and blame him for his own devastating accident. But when authorities looked into it, they found clear evidence that the bar illegally over-served the man.
So while I was not involved in the criminal side of that situation (I handled the personal injury case against the bar), the authorities pursued criminal charges against the bartender for their actions.
Anytime I tell someone about that story, it opens their eyes to the importance of reserving judgment after a serious accident. Many times, there's more to the story.
Austin, TX — June 3, 2023, Angelica Delgado was killed following a car accident at around 2:20 a.m. along Bastrop Highway.

Investigators with the Austin Police Department released information about the fatal accident, which they say happened along the 200 block of Bastrop Highway.
According to officials, 28-year-old Angelica Delgado was identified as the driver of a sedan that was reportedly going northbound along Bastrop Highway. For reasons which are not confirmed at this time, the vehicle left its lane and crashed into a retaining wall.
As a result of the collision, Delgado sustained fatal injuries. There were no others said to have been involved in the crash. It's unclear at this time what factors authorities have been considering. They have yet to release additional details about their ongoing investigations.
