Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
It's unfortunately not so unusual when a pedestrian incident has so few details available. They're not often seen as a high priority, so authorities might move on without really getting clear information. That's why it's important for families to pay attention to the efforts authorities are making. If they just take for granted that there will be thorough investigations, they may find themselves weeks or months down the line with just as little information as they had on day one. That's when independent investigations can often step in to fill in the blanks.
