Dallas County, TX — September 17, 2024, Barry MacGregor was injured in a motorcycle versus hit-and-run car accident just after 9:15 p.m. on Pioneer Parkway.

According to authorities, 72-year-old Barry MacGregor was traveling on an eastbound Yamaha motorcycle on Pioneer Parkway approaching the Corn Valley Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the back-right side of the motorcycle was struck by the front-left quarter of a motor vehicle. The vehicle allegedly fled the scene, the person inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim. The fleeing vehicle was apparently followed by witnesses, however, so authorities later identified the offending operator, according to reports.

MacGregor suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the hit-and-run collision. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
