Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
It’s unclear if authorities identified the runaway driver or the vehicle involved. If they haven’t, keeping the crash in the public eye as much as possible could help. A lot of the time, these situations see a resolution when someone in the community helps to connect the dots. I’ve even had cases where family members and romantic partners did the right thing and turned the driver in. As such, it could be a serious problem if authorities already moved on here. Keeping up the pressure may be crucial in identifying the suspect driver and seeing they’re finally held accountable.
