One of my concerns with incidents like this is people tend to assume the worst of bicyclists. Like any accident, though, the evidence should be able to speak for itself. That could include camera footage from the bus or nearby businesses, cell phone data, witness testimony, laser mapping of the scene, an analysis of the road’s design, etc. Instead of jumping to conclusions, there can be a definitive answer about what went wrong and how this could have been avoided.
