Hidalgo County, TX — March 24, 2023, Amalia Villarreal was injured by an allegedly drunk driver around 5:10 p.m. on Doffing Rd. in Hidalgo County.
Sources report the victim’s Honda Accord was parked in a residential driveway when a northbound Nissan Titian allegedly attempted to pass a vehicle by driving partially off the road, lost control, veered off the road toward its driver’s side, and collided with Ms. Villarreal’s Accord.
Amalia Villarreal was reportedly transported to a medical center with serious injuries.
Police recommended charging the Nissan Titan Driver with Driving While Intoxicated and for driving on a shoulder when prohibited.
