My hope here is simply that investigations where thorough and focused on letting the evidence speak for itself. Frankly, a lot of people are quick to jump to conclusions when a teenager is behind the wheel. Even police may let bias color their investigations, so making sure the facts are put first and foremost can help avoid any kind of warping of the story. If authorities can’t provide any reassuring signs they’re doing that, though, there may need to be more thorough independent investigations.
