Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Even when OSHA alleges violations after a fatal work accident, their efforts alone may not tell the whole story. Texas has the most complex work fatality laws in the whole country. I can’t recall a single case where the OSHA reports were more than just a small piece of the larger puzzle. Families generally need a mountain of evidence and unique legal tools and strategies to get fair resolutions. Hopefully those steps were taken here rather than leaving everything up to authorities, who often just move on after their job is done.
