Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Regardless of what happened here, my hope is simply that the investigations were fair. With motorcycle accidents, authorities can’t always guarantee that. A lot of folks have a negative bias against riders, and this can lead them to jump to conclusions rather than focus on the evidence.

No matter how many wheels someone is on—two, four, one, eighteen—the facts should speak for themselves. So if authorities considered all sides of the story here, that would be good to hear. It’s just not something I would take for granted without knowing for sure that investigators are looking at the accident from all angles.
