Williamson County, TX — October 29, 2025, Ricardo Lopez was injured as the result of a car accident at around 10:00 p.m. on Ronald Reagan Boulevard.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident took place just west of the intersection with I-35.
Investigators said that 49-year-old Ricardo Lopez was in a Honda Accord going eastbound on Ronald Reagan. In events unclear, the vehicle somehow lost control and crashed. Due to the accident, Ricardo Lopez was seriously injured, authorities said.
Reports did not mention anyone else being involved in the accident. Additional details are unavailable.

Single-vehicle accidents make up a significant portion of the crashes I get calls about. Naturally, people want to tell their side of the story. It can surprise people when authorities can’t reassure people that they’re doing so fairly. A lot of people just jump to conclusions after single-vehicle wrecks. Authorities, who may not have the time or tools needed for a proper accident reconstruction, often do the same. As such, independent investigations can often bring to light new details that authorities missed. Maybe that wouldn’t happen here, but it wouldn’t be unusual, either.
