Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
One of the challenges with residential fires is people sometimes assume the residents must have done something wrong. However, there are other possible explanations that need to be considered. Defective appliances, gas leaks, botched installation or repair work, external factors outside the home, etc. Likely or not, it's important to let the evidence tell the story. It remains to be seen if authorities are giving this accident the careful investigation it deserves.
