A question no doubt on everyone's mind is why this truck was going slowly enough that it warranted calls to 911. I'm glad there were folks on the road who recognized the slow-moving commercial truck as the hazard it was, but of all people the professional driver behind the wheel of that hazard should understand the risks and the responsibility they have to remove that risk from the road. So why didn't that happen here?
If a truck can't move at safe speeds on a freeway, it needs to get out of the way. The fact this truck may have been traveling in a dangerous manner for at least twenty minutes is just baffling. I can think of few reasons a truck driver might not pull off the freeway in a situation like this, and frankly, none of those reasons are good.
