Commentary by Michael Grossman
After any motorcycle accident, I wonder what steps authorities have taken to remove bias from their investigations. Unfortunately, a lot of people are automatically biased against motorcyclists, which means that officials might jump to conclusions instead of letting the evidence speak for itself.
I've actually had cases where it took our secondary investigations to correct mistakes authorities made either because they made assumptions or overlooked important details they felt weren't worth the attention. Maybe authorities were more thorough here, and that would be encouraging to know. Otherwise, there might be a family out there with the same unanswered questions they had on day one.
