I can’t help wondering what procedures are in place (or supposed to be in place) to help prevent this accident. Job sites have all kinds of rules to follow to prevent incidents like this, so does the university operate under similar rules? Was there not an instructor involved here supervising the students? Have there been other incidents at this campus? People may be quick to just write this all off as a sudden accident, but it’s important to be thorough and make sure there weren’t existing issues that made this incident inevitable.
