Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

After any serious accident, it’s important to ensure authorities took all necessary steps to uncover the full story. Investigations don’t always get the time and resources they need, which can lead to unanswered questions.

Did investigators have the tools and training to conduct a thorough analysis? Were vehicle defects considered as a possible factor? Did they secure critical electronic evidence before it was lost?

It can often surprise folks when authorities leave investigations incomplete and move on to other responsibilities. Being proactive can give victims and families an opportunity to have a second set of eyes look things over so nothing important is overlooked.
