Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
With single-vehicle wrecks, it's important to know if authorities focused on gathering evidence or if they jumped to conclusions. It would surprise folks how often police just scratched the surface and moved on without a second thought. For drivers who want their side of the story told fairly, that can obviously be a problem. It's possible independent investigations here would reveal new details authorities missed. Or, they might just confirm that authorities already did a good job on their own. Either way, it's reasonable after single-vehicle wrecks for people to wonder if the crash really got the attention it deserved.
