Man Killed, Several Injured in Car Accident on I.H. 45 in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — January 18, 2025, a man was killed and several people were injured in a car accident shortly before 9:00 p.m. along I.H. 45.

According to authorities, a Honda Civic was traveling northbound on North Freeway (Interstate Highway 45) in the vicinity of Richey Road when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Honda failed to appropriately control its speed. It was subsequently involved in a collision with the rear-end of a Kia SUV. The impact led to the Kia losing control and it was then involved in a secondary collision with a BMW sedan.

However, the man who had been behind the wheel of the Honda Civic suffered fatal injuries due to the wreck and was reportedly declared deceased at the scene.
