Dallas, TX — July 26, 2024, a man was injured as the result of a car accident at around 11:20 p.m. along Interstate 35E.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened along northbound lanes of the RL Thornton Freeway near Ewing Avenue and 8th Street.
Investigators said that a 46-year-old man was in a Volkswagen Passat going along the interstate. A GMC Yukon reportedly cut across multiple lanes, and it crashed with the Passat. Due to this, the driver of the Volkswagen was seriously injured.

Sometimes, though, departments become overwhelmed by their other responsibilities, and that can lead to crashes like this slipping through the cracks. That’s when independent investigators have to step in and pick up the slack. Did that happen here, or were authorities able to conduct a proper, thorough accident reconstruction?
