Yoakum County, TX — November 24, 2024, An 11-year-old boy was killed and five others were injured in a car accident at about 3:30 p.m. on F.M. 1780.
Authorities said a 2020 Toyota Highlander was traveling south on F.M. 1780 toward Seagraves in west Texas when it approached the intersection with F.M. 213.
The SUV collided with a 2021 Chevrolet Express van in the southeast Yoakum County intersection, authorities said.
The 11-year-old was declared dead at the scene, according to authorities. Three other children involved in the accident suffered serious injuries.
Two adults were injured in the crash as well, authorities said.
Authorities have not provided any additional information about the crash or the people who were injured.
Currently, there is no indication of potential charges or citations.
