Galveston County, TX — November 19, 2023, Carlos Alfredo Cana was killed following a car accident at around 3:43 a.m. on Tuscan Lakes Boulevard.
Authorities said in preliminary statements on the accident that it happened at the intersection of Tuscan Lakes Boulevard and Highway 96/League City Parkway.
According to officials, 21-year-old Carlos Cana was said to be driving a Toyota Camry northbound on Tuscan Lakes. Authorities with Dickinson Police claim they initially tried to pull over Cana but were unable to. Sometime after this, authorities claim that Cana’s vehicle lost control at Tuscan Lakes and League City, causing the car to go off-road and crashed into a pole.
Cana died as a result of the collision. There were no other reported injuries. Right now, there are no additional details about the crash that can be confirmed.

Obviously, initial statements about there possibly being a police pursuit are concerning. But at the end of the day, the victim isn’t here to tell their side of the story. That’s why I always encourage people to take public statements like these with a grain of salt. There’s no telling what new evidence could come to light through more thorough investigations.
