Cheryl Edwards Killed in Hit-and-run Accident on East Little York Road in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — April 22, 2023, a woman was fatally injured due to a pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run at 12:50 a.m. along East Little York Road.
Investigators with the Houston Police Department said that the incident happened in the 500 block of East Little York Road, which appears to be between Nordling Road and Werner Street.

According to public statements from city officials, a woman was walking at the time and was in the travel lanes of East Little York. Police say the woman may have been standing on the lanes when a vehicle struck her. That vehicle then left the scene, police say.
The woman involved, currently unidentified, died due to the collision. Police say they are searching for a white vehicle, but they did not further describe the suspect vehicle. Additional details are currently unavailable. Houston Police are encouraging anyone that may know something to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
