Christopher Thomas Scott Injured in Car Accident in Victoria, TX
Victoria County, TX — March 19, 2023, Christopher Scott was injured due to an accident involving two cars crashing along Laurent Street.
Preliminary details about the crash indicated that the incident happened just after 8:30 p.m. along Laurent Street at Manor Drive. It appears that 35-year-old Christopher Scott was in a Ford F-150 traveling southbound along Laurent. At the intersection, police believe that a Hyundai Accent ran a stop sign, causing the pickup to hit the left side of the car.

Reports show that Scott had incapacitating injuries due to the crash. The other driver did not have any listed injuries. No further information about the crash can be confirmed at this time.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
While I can't add any more facts to these initial reports, the apparent disparity in the drivers' injuries raise concerns for me.
To put it simply, the public information about this crash describes events such that the pickup crashed into the driver's side of a much smaller vehicle that was, relative to the pickup, at a near stop. Yet it was the pickup driver said to be hurt while the other driver apparently was unharmed. Could that mean that something unusual occurred that led to the victim here suffering injuries that they otherwise shouldn't have? Did their seatbelt lock? Did the airbag deploy? Did their seat assembly stay intact? Maybe this is all just dumb luck, but I can't help wondering if there's more to the story than authorities have let on.
