Buda, TX — October 27, 2024, Christy Bennett was injured following an 18-wheeler accident that occurred at around 10:56 P.M. on I-35.
An investigation is underway into a 18-wheeler accident that left one person injured during the evening hours of October 27th. According to official reports, Christy Bennett was travelling in a Chevy Captiva in the northbound lanes and attempted to merge into a lane that was occupied by a tractor-trailer. It is unclear at this time the exact cause of the accident, however according to officials, during the merge the Chevy struck the trailer portion of the 18-wheeler and became stuck.
When it was dislodged it spun out and struck a concrete wall, causing severe damage to the vehicle. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Bennett had sustained serious injuries and transported her to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released from the accident, including the status of Bennett’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
