Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Authorities seem to have a clear explanation of what went wrong here. The question, though, is how much evidence they preserved in their investigations. I can’t begin to count how many families have come to me after police have finished their investigations and even filed charges because they still needed other key evidence to get a proper resolution. Simply put, authorities have their on goals when it comes to approaching a car accident. That mean prioritizing the needs of a family can take more thorough independent investigations that put the victims and families first. Did that ever happen here?
