Brazoria County, TX — September 26, 2024,David Delgado was injured following a 18-wheeler accident that occurred around 1:28 P.M. on FM 1459.
An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the afternoon hours of September 26th. According to official reports, David Delgado was travelling in a tractor-trailer on SH 35 in the eastbound lanes, at the FM 1459 intersection, when a Ford pickup coming from the westbound lanes of SH 35 ran a redlight and failed to yield the right-of-way when turning, and caused Delgado to strike them.
As a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage, and Delgado’s truck overturned. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Delgado had sustained serious injuries and transported him to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released about the accident, including the status of Delgado’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
