David Edward Lucas Injured in Truck Accident in Fort Worth, TX
Fort Worth, TX -- January 12, 2023, David Edward Lucas was injured following an accident where his vehicle and a semi-truck collided.
Preliminary public information from the authorities said that the crash took place at around 9:35 p.m. along I-35 in the area of Highland Terrace Street.

It appears that 28-year-old David Edward Lucas was in an Acura traveling northbound along the freeway. The vehicle seems to have left its lane when it collided with an 18-wheeler, then the median barrier.
Lucas was said to have incapacitating injuries due to the crash. This and other details are still under investigation at this time.
Vehicles can lose control for all kinds of reasons, and I know from experience how important it is to give drivers the benefit of the doubt until more facts are available. Things like tire failure, medical conditions, road hazards, and mechanical issues can cause crashes like this. They may not be as common as other possibilities, such as cell phone usage or drunk driving, but they're worth equal consideration to ensure nothing important slips through the cracks. My hope is the authorities looking into this crash share that notion.
