Derrick Jackson Injured in Car Accident in Leon County, TX
Leon County, TX — March 20, 2025, Derrick Jackson was injured as the result of a car accident at around 11:35 p.m. along Highway 164.
Authorities said that the accident happened west of Buffalo and the I-45 and Highway 164 interchange.

Investigators said that 31-year-old Derrick Jackson was in a Ford Explorer going southeast on the highway. While doing so, the vehicle somehow left its lane. This led to the car hitting the guardrail.
Derrick Jackson reportedly was seriously injured as a result of the crash. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Right now, additional details are unavailable.
Commentary
There aren't many available details here, though people might not think there would be much to know after a single-vehicle wreck. However, just like any serious crash, there are countless questions that need to be answered.
Why did the vehicle leave its lane? Were there issues with the roadway? Did the guardrail penetrate through the vehicle, and, if so, was it due to the guardrail being defective? Did the vehicle itself have any defects? Have authorities pulled electronic data from the vehicle?
If authorities can come up with clear answers top these kinds of questions, that's likely a sign they took the investigations seriously. Otherwise, if their responses aren't satisfying, it may be that their investigations left too many stones unturned.
