Donald Early, Barbara Early Injured in 18-wheeler Accident in Terry County, TX
Terry County, TX — April 20, 2023, Donald Early and Barbara Early were injured due to an 18-wheeler accident at around 11:50 a.m. along U.S. Highway 62.
According to preliminary information provided by authorities, the fatal collision took place in the area of U.S. 62 mile marker 266. Their statements about the crash state that 79-year-old Barbara Early and 83-year-old Donald Early were in a Ford Fusion traveling along eastbound lanes of the highway rounding a curve.

From oncoming lanes, it appears a tractor-trailer failed to control speed possibly due to cargo shifting, police say, causing the tractor-trailer to veer across the center line. That tractor-trailer then crashed with multiple oncoming vehicles, including a second commercial truck and the vehicle Barbara and Donald Early were in.
