Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Anytime a commercial truck is involved in a crash, the resulting accident scene can present unique challenges for investigators. People tend to just assume authorities have everything handled, but sometimes they lack the time or tools needed for such complex accidents. That's when details can slip through the cracks.
In my experience, commercial vehicle accidents are better off handled by independent accident reconstructionists. It isn't that officers can't do their jobs, but when there are professionals out there dedicated to getting the facts and considering even unlikely possible factors, they're generally in a much better position to get victims and families the answers they deserve.
