Evelia Vasquez Injured in Alleged Hit-and-Run in Houston, TX
Houston, TX — April 1, 2023, Evelia Vasquez was injured in an alleged hit-and-run accident around 8:59 p.m. on W. Aldine Bender Rd. in Houston.
Authorities report the victim and three others were in a Toyota Tundra
Authorities report a Nissan Murano was northbound on Airline Dr. attempting a right-hand turn to travel east on W. Aldine Bender Rd. when it allegedly collided with a Toyota Tundra and a Chevy Silverado that were facing west on W. Aldine Bender Rd. attempting a left-hand turn to go south on Airline Dr. The Nissan Murano then allegedly failed to stop and continued east on W. Aldine Bender Rd.
Ms. Vasquez, a rear-seat passenger in the Toyota Tundra, was reportedly transported to a hospital with injuries. The three other occupants in the Tundra and the driver of the Silverado were all reportedly uninjured.
Police later located the Nissan Murano driver and recommended charging them with Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
