Sugar Land, TX — December 4, 2023, Fariha Hussain was killed and Rahat Hussain and three others were injured in a car accident at 10:15 p.m. on Highway 6.
Authorities said that the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 6 and Fluor Daniel Drive.

It appears that 27-year-old Fariha Hussain, 67-year-old Rahat Hussain, a 28-year-old woman, and a 3-year-old were in a Honda Accord going northbound along the highway. While attempting to make a left turn onto Fluor Daniel Drive, a Nissan Pathfinder slammed into the passenger side of the Honda.
Due to the collision, Fariha Hussain was killed. Rahat Hussain and the other woman in the Honda had apparently serious injuries while the child’s injuries were possibly minor. The driver of the Nissan had moderate injuries. No further information about the crash can be confirmed.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
What stands out to me here is that it’s unusual to see fatal injuries for the victim given where they were in their vehicle and the point of impact as described by authorities. Generally speaking, if someone is on the opposite side of a side-impact accident, they’re less likely to be hurt than those closer to the point of impact. So when the driver is killed in a passenger-side collision, but their passengers aren’t, it can be a big red flag the vehicle may not have performed in the collision as well as it should have. That’s something that requires further investigation.
