1 Killed, 1 Injured in Fire Accident off Cedar Avenue in Lubbock, TX
Lubbock, TX — January 15, 2026, one person was killed and one was injured following a residential fire accident around 11:30 a.m. along Cedar Avenue.
According to initial details about the accident, it took place off the corner of Avenue A and Coronado Drive.
Investigators said that Lubbock Fire officials were called to a residence on Cedar Avenue. They arrived to find that one person was killed due to the fire. Another person had unspecified injuries. Right now, authorities say a space heater is the suspected cause of the fire.
