Harris County, TX — December 4, 2023, Francisco Eddie Rodriguez Jr. was injured following a car accident at around 3:30 a.m. on Bluff Point Drive.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of the Bluff Point Drive and Hollister Street intersection.
Investigators said that 41-year-old Francisco Rodriguez Jr. was in a Nissan Murano traveling eastbound along Bluff Point Drive. For reasons which are not confirmed right now, the Murano crashed into the back of a school bus which was in the right lane of travel. Due to this, Rodriguez sustained serious injuries. There were no other reported injuries.

Something I get a lot of pushback on when I talk about rear-end collisions like this is reminding people that they shouldn’t just automatically blame the victim. Obviously, rear-end collisions are usually the result of something like distracted driving or following too closely. But unless there’s evidence to rule out unusual factors, people can’t really say they have all the facts. So unless authorities were able to find out a lot more than what they’ve said publicly, there could still be a lot more to this story.
