Gabriel Ruiz Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Harris County, TX
Harris County, TX — January 17, 2023, Gabriel Ruiz was fatally injured due to a pedestrian accident at around 6:15 p.m. on Bammel N. Houston Drive.
Preliminary statements about the fatal incident say that it happened in the area of the Bammel N. Houston Drive and Sam Houston Parkway West intersection in Northwest Houston.

According to officials, 62-year-old Gabriel Santos Ruiz was on foot at the time. While walking, Gabriel Ruiz was said to have attempted to go across Bammel N. Houston. Doing so, a southbound Chevy Silverado pickup did not avoid Ruiz in time, striking him in the roadway.
As a result of the collision, Ruiz reportedly died from his injuries following transport to a local hospital. No one else was said to have been injured. At this time, authorities have not reported any pending charges or citations. They have yet to release additional details about the fatal accident.
