Garland, TX — December 13, 2024, a man was injured following a single-car accident at approximately 10:45 p.m. along North Shiloh Road.
According to authorities, a 37-year-old man was traveling in a southbound Isuzu pickup truck on Shiloh Road in the vicinity north of the Arapaho Road intersection when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the pickup was involved in a single-vehicle collision in which it apparently lost control on icy or slick roads, crashing into some landscaping before coming to a stop.

That’s why it’s critical to examine three key questions when looking into any serious accident.
The first question is whether authorities have conducted a thorough investigation. Law enforcement will likely document the scene, but key details can sometimes be overlooked. Were road maintenance crews aware of the icy conditions, and if so, had any preventive measures like salting or sanding been taken? Was the road surface unusually slick due to an oil spill, black ice, or another unexpected hazard? Did officers determine whether other vehicles in the area contributed to the crash, even if they weren’t directly involved? Ensuring these questions are answered is crucial to understanding the full circumstances of the crash.
The second question to consider is whether anyone has looked into the possibility of a vehicle defect. If the Isuzu pickup experienced a mechanical failure—such as faulty tires, brake malfunctions, or stability control issues—that made it more vulnerable to losing control on slick roads, that could be a key factor in understanding what happened.
