Gerson Chavez Ramirez Killed in Work Accident in Dallas, TX
Houston, TX — July 12, 2022, Gerson Chavez Ramirez was killed due to a falling vehicle work accident that happened at 4:00 p.m. in Houston.
Officials said that the site of the accident was 9100 Galveston Road. Google Maps appears to show this is on the property of an American Auto Centers dealership. The company listed in the incident investigation is Prime International Shipping, based in Houston.

Details say that 25-year-old Gerson Chavez Ramirez was working underneath a vehicle that was suspended above him. It appears a lashing point broke, according to investigators, and the vehicle fell onto Chavez Ramirez and another employee.
Chavez Ramirez sustained fatal injuries while the other worker was hospitalized. Public OSHA reports show authorities recommended there be a penalty totaling $14,917 due to four alleged violations. Additional details surrounding this incident are unclear at this time.
