Gloria Ratcliffe Injured in Alleged Hit-and-Run Accident on Wetmore Rd. in San Antonio, TX
San Antonio, TX — November 4, 2022, Gloria Ratcliffe was injured in an alleged hit-and-run accident around 9:19 a.m. on Wetmore Rd. in San Antonio.
According to authorities, Gloria Ratcliffe's Toyota Highlander was attempting a left turn from Wetmore Rd. onto Ridge County facing westbound. A Toyota 4Runner then allegedly struck Gloria Ratcliffe's Toyota Highlander and fled the scene of the crash. A witness reportedly told authorities Gloria Ratcliffe had a green arrow and the 4Runner was speeding when it disregarded a red light.
Gloria Ratcliffe was transported to a medical center with purportedly serious, incapacitating injuries. Authorities have not reported if the 4Runner driver suffered any injuries.
Police recommended charging the 4Runner driver with Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
The speed limit on Wetmore Rd. is 45 mph. The weather was reportedly cloudy at the time of the crash.
The reason the driver allegedly ran the red light and the reason Gloria Ratcliffe's injuries were severe still needs investigation.
